Christenings

A baptism (or christening) is a service at which you are made members of the Church, and given the promise of God's blessing and eternal life. Anyone who lives in the parish or who is on the Electoral Roll (the Church's membership list) has a right to be christened, or have their children christened, at St Lawrence Church and The Church Of The Ascension.

If you live outside the parish you may be able arrange to have a christening at St Lawrence if you have a connection to the parish.

 

We also offer a service of Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child if you do not wish to have your child christened, but would like to give thanks for them.
